On the eve of the ending of this millennium's first decade, we are truly saddened to hear the news of the passing of one of Australia's most iconic and influential musicians, ROWLAND S HOWARD. We here at Homebake HQ were genuinely excited (& in absolute awe) with the news that Rowland did confirm to perform at the 15th anniversary of Homebake this year, and were devastated to discover that Rowland had to pull out the day prior due to illness. Although we were well aware of Rowland's ongoing health battles, we had hoped that we may have had Rowland grace our stage one day. For now, Rowland will forever grace the stage of another world.
