Celebrating the seventh anniversary of Australia's most famous "locals only" music festival, HOMEBAKE returns again this year for its biggest, boldest and most musically varied presentation of this nation's best talent to date. HOMEBAKE 2001 opens the musical gates to present the best in pop, rock, punk, ska, dance, electronica, country and DJs - in fact, just about every style we could think of that would be appropriate to this very fine festival. Click here to check out the bands and DJs. And, as with previous Homebake events, we are proud to announce that it will once again take place in the auspicious and stunning surrounds of The Domain (within the Royal Botanical Gardens) in Sydney City on Saturday December 8, 2001. What a way to celebrate the end of the year! But first, we have a special news announcement to make. Making MoviesThis year, HOMEBAKE gives each and every one of its punters a chance to achieve their 15 seconds of fame. For the first time ever recorded at a music festival, a touch of Hollywood comes to Homebake with the actual on site filming of the highly anticipated movie "Garage Days". Stages
As the primary focus is on music, Homebake 2001 will spread a variety of acts across four big stages including the main stage, the massive Triple J Big Top, The Juice Stage and our newest edition since last year's event, The Hopetoun Stage - named after Sydney's prestigious Surry Hills venue, which is renowned for its continual support of new and established acts in the local music scene. Other Attractions
Amnesty International will make available a signing tent whereby punters can get a chance to meet their favourite Homebake 2001 acts and score a signature or two or simply contribute to this worthy cause by way of offering money to the bucket collectors roaming the ground. An international food fair will rumble your tummy and tickle your nostrils, high impact rides and games, markets, information and awareness stalls providing a wealth of news regarding youth and community orientated causes, roving performers and a specially set up cinema tent will all be on site, to celebrate the taste of Homebake's foray into movie stardom!
