THE WHISKEY GO GO's

The Whiskey Go Go’s were born and driven by front-man Matt Hutchinson. Born and raised in the mission fields, he spent over 16 years travelling the world with his mother.

They didn't stay in one country for longer than 2 years, and then... off again. The lifestyle of a missionary, a lifestyle so rare to come by, is a lifestyle that scripted the tales and material for the dandiest southern rock outfit to come out this side of Mississippi.

Matt Hutchinson returned home to Victoria, Australia in 2002 after spending a total of 11 years on the road in the USA. He teamed up with another missionary kid (Johnny Ahearne) and together started writing & recording the debut album ‘Roadhouse’ at the Benjamin Fox Studios.

After completing the record, Matt Hutchinson put together his live act and started gigging through the city of Melbourne. A mouthful of high-energy, good old time southern rock & roll is the taste on they're tongue. Matt & his Whiskey Go Go’s hit HOMEBAKE for their very first festival outing.
