ANOTHER SHORT BUT IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM HOMEBAKE HQ
Please note that due to the scourge of that offensive behaviour we know as 'scalping', we here at Homebake HQ will endeavor to prevent this practice by implementing the delayed dispatch of tickets.
So folks, in accordance with our strict conditions noted on all tickets + on this website and associated ticket sales sites including Ticketek - and including the following points:
5. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged nor replaced after purchase.
6. Should this ticket be re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain, the ticket will become void and the holder may be refused entry or be evicted from the venue.
We therefore give you notice that all tickets purchased for Homebake 08 WILL NOT be mailed to purchaser until MONDAY NOVEMBER 10TH, 2008. You also have the option to collect your ticket from agencies on this date.
There will be no exception to this rule, thus if you do intend on buying a ticket to Homebake, you will not receive it until after November 10th.
(Please note separate Ticketek conditions for office box office collections)
We do appreciate your support of Homebake and do hope that this system will assist those who genuinely wish to attend the event.
Many thanks in advance for your attention with this important matter.

NEWS..
Attention Homebake Ticket Holders,
You can now access or download the Homebake 08 map here
When checking out the map, it is important to read through all associated conditions of entry, which we prefer to refer as Homebake Etiquette (or the 'do's & don'ts')
For those of you that may have trouble accessing this information, we have made sure to include those same conditions below. Therefore, we urge you to please read through carefully (please don't give us the opportunity to say 'we told you so!")
HOMEBAKE ETIQUETTE OTHERWISE KNOWN AS DO'S & DON'T'S!
THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS INFORMATION. IT IS IMPORTANT SO PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY.
PLEASE NOTE NEW POINTS REGARDING ENTRY TO HOMEBAKE THIS YEAR .
• Due to strict licensing regulations, EVERY ticket holder will be wristbanded upon entry to HOMEBAKE. Please also note that any person at Homebake without a wristband will be immediately removed from the site. There are NO exceptions to this rule. Thus, it's important to note that your wristband remains your 'passport' to attend Homebake and stay within the Domain (festival area), and also provides a guarantee that you are legally over 18 years of age.
• PLEASE - Be aware that there will be strong Police & Security presence at Homebake 08 to ensure general security and safety for all patrons. As now seems the norm with many festival events nationwide, we also confirm the presence of Police Drug Detection Dogs & Operations in attendance. So please do co-operate with the Police. Homebake does not condone nor endorse the use of illicit substances and any persons found in possession of such substances will be prosecuted.
• PROHIBITED ITEMS - The following items will not be allowed at Homebake. No bottles, cans, glass, skateboards, boogie boards, milk crates, chairs, stools (folding or otherwise), studded wristbands & / or belts etc, water pistols, fireworks, alcohol, drugs, laser lights, weapons of any type, umbrellas, video and tape recording devices. Any items considered illegal or dangerous will also be banned from entry. No animals will be allowed on site.
• The gates will open at 11.00am. The event concludes at 11.00pm
• All bags and containers will be searched - so, please be prepared to be searched upon entry. Unfortunately we need to do this and your co-operation is appreciated. All ticket holders, guests and associated will be required to pass through security checkpoints whereby the following procedures will take place:
1.) Present ticket for admission. You will be directed to over 18's or under 18's aisles.
2.) Show valid government photo ID to obtain security appropriate wristband according to your age
3.) Present bags for inspection if requested
4.) Remove items from the bag when requested
5.) Dispose of prohibited items in the bins provided or remove them from the site
6.) Place items back into bags after inspection.
• Please note that there will be no storage facilities at this event for any items that are mentioned on the prohibited items list. Any items which are considered dangerous or illegal found during this consented search by security staff will be passed onto the Police who will deal with the matter.
If you are wearing or carrying items which are on the prohibited list, you will be given the opportunity to return them to your vehicle otherwise they will be confiscated and not returned. Knives and other dangerous implements will be given to the police and you may be detained.
• No containers/bottles of water/liquid (sealed or otherwise) will be allowed onto the site via entry point
However, please remember to drink lots of water throughout the day. Free tap water available at bars and St Johns.
• Remember - it is a long day and Homebake will run rain or shine so it is a good idea to be prepared. Bring a hat or cap & sun block if it is hot, and a rain coat if it looks like rain (no umbrellas will be permitted).
• Remember - Homebake is now (by law) an over 18 years of age event. Thus, if you wish to drink alcohol please bring current & valid photo ID - ie; drivers licence. You will be required to show this if you want to purchase alcohol.
• Pass outs will be available from 5pm (under licensing police jurisdiction).
• Stage diving, crowd surfing, moshing are absolutely prohibited and will not be tolerated. Any patron caught practicing this behaviour risks eviction from the site and possible fine.
• Coat check facilities are available at back of venue (close to Cinema tent and Hopetoun Stage).
• St John's Ambulance will be on site for the duration of the event - if you require assistance refer to the map for locations. The Red Cross Save A Mate (SAM) program will also on site throughout the day. Comprising teams of trained medical professionals, SAM volunteers (visibly dressed in Save A Mate shirts) will be roaming Homebake and are there to assist you. Make sure to say hello!
• We also ask that you please be mindful keeping the Domain and surrounding area's clean. We have implemented a recycling system for all cans and PET bottles (make sure to check this out at all bars) and have copious marked bins throughout the site. Please use these bins as you see them marked and show that you respect the environment and in turn, keeping our beautiful city pristine.
PLEASE KEEP ALL OF THIS IN MIND WHEN COMING TO HOMEBAKE AND MAKE SURE TO LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER. IN THE EVENT THAT YOU NOTICE A PROBLEM OR FEEL THAT SOMEONE REQUIRES ASSISTANCE, PLEASE IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE CLOSEST HOMEBAKE SECURITY REPRESENTATIVE (CLEARLY IDENTIFIED IN HOMEBAKE SECURITY SHIRTS). REMEMBER, WE DO HAVE AN IMPORTANT THEME THIS YEAR AND WE WOULD LIKE YOU ALL TO PARTICIPATE IN THAT THEME.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE & MOST OF ALL ENJOY YOURSELVES
