Yesterday marked the first day of summer, today sees the release of the specially priced double CD HOMEBAKE Vol 6 and with only ONE WEEK to go, this Saturday December 7th, Sydney's Domain will come alive with HOMEBAKE 2002 the annual festival made especially for music lovers to celebrate our own!

The hottest acts this country has to offer in pop, rock, blues, ska, punk, dance, electronica, country and more will set on the beautiful Sydney Domain (within the Royal Botanical Gardens) to perform an all day music festival spread across five big stages including The Main Stage, The Dome, The In The Mix Big Top, The Hopetoun Stage and the newly added Acoustic Pavilion.

As always HOMEBAKE likes to do something for a special charity and this year we are pleased to raise funds for the kids help line REACH OUT so make sure you throw your loose change in the collection buckets as they come pass. As an incentive for people a host of bands from the bill will be signing for fans at the REACH OUT signing tent through the day.

Don't forget the other added extras of an international food fair, high impact rides and games, demos of the sporting craze Hacky Sack, markets, information and awareness stalls providing a wealth of news regarding youth and community orientated causes, roving performers and lots more.

What would HOMEBAKE be without an accompanying souvenir - namely the annual Homebake album! Now reaching volume number 6, this famous specially priced Homebake compilation album is available now through Hello Cleveland/Virgin and features forty tracks from bands on the bill including 'Downriver' the hip-hop track by those gorgeous koori kids from the bush, THE WILCANNIA MOB. The CD also includes some rarities like 'Cold Hard Bitch' the only track available on CD from hot Melbourne rock act JET, 'I Guess I Get Emotional Sometimes', from PAUL KELLY which was previously only available as a down load.
