You don't get a reputation for being Australia's premier most famous antipodean festival without actually coming up with the goods – year after year! Celebrating a very classic edition in 2011, Homebake is must see festival event for Australian & NZ music, film and now, comedy lovers.
With punters from inner Sydney to interstate (and even internationally) descending on the Domain year after year, 2011 promises to be our one of the most incredible festival editions eve.! This year's diverse line-up includes a stack of established, famous & some not so famous bands, films, comedy stars - all of who will be featured in the official Homebake 2011 Program.
Also crammed full of interesting stories including Homebake recycling initiatives; the team behind the Cinema Tent; the story behind the causes we support.. as well as much more.
The official Homebake program will be sold outside the gates, at merchandising stands and throughout the festival grounds by roving sales teams from 11.00am until closing time.
HOMBAKE on CD & DVD
HOMEBAKE 2011 marks yet another chapter under the title of 'The Classic Edition'. Although for those not in the know, coinciding with Homebake 2009, our friends at XYZ Networks (Max & Channel V) produced a special documentary marking the 15th anniversary (& history) of Homebake. A preview can be seen here.
Prior to this (& in 2005), we did celebrate the tenth anniversary of Homebake, whereby EMI Music in conjunction with Channel V released a very special DVD documenting the first ten years titled, HOMEBAKE – THE FIRST TEN CHAPTERS. Still vailable from from some record stores and online now, this amazing DVD contains footage pertaining to numerous band performances over the first ten years and includes spectacular live Homebake sets from Silverchair, The Finn Brothers, Powderfinger, Wolfmother, Jet, Grinspoon, 1200 Techniques, Eskimo Joe, You Am I + many more. There’s also bonus footage and it all comes in a beautifully packaged case with insert illustrating the ‘art of Homebake’ over the first ten years. Visit here for further information.
